In a distressing incident, suspected kidnappers have invaded the Chikakore area of Kubwa, located in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, abducting a man, his wife, son, and two others from their residence.

According to a local resident, approximately 30 armed individuals stormed the community around midnight on Monday, targeting the home of Adefija Micheal Akinropo. Alongside Akinropo, his family members, including his wife, son, and elder brother, were taken.

The kidnappers also moved to a nearby poultry farm, where they abducted another man and injured his wife during the attack. Police officials from the Byazin police station have reportedly visited the scene, but the abductors have yet to contact the family for ransom.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Josephine Adeh, stated she was en route to the office and promised to provide more information later, although no updates had been received by the time of this report.

This incident underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region, as communities continue to grapple with threats from banditry and kidnapping.
