We at Governance Today Nigeria news support the Nigerian worker, hundred percent to seek for their total rights in wages and other incentives that making for the nation and Nigerian comfortable, freedom and fairness. GTN also believe that this path should be threaded ethically with decorum, empathy and fairness.

Essential and life support services should be handled delicately, ethically and fairly.

For instance, in the impending NLC strike, we don’t support that the Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) should go for “A TOTAL SHUTDOWN OF ALL THE HEALTH FACILITIES IN THE COUNTRY”, as directed by the leadership of the MHWUN. This is grossly reckless and unethical, which also defines the fight not only against a government and its excesses, but also against the poor and vulnerable citizenry.

It behoves our humanity right to allow a safe corridor in the health sector, where emergencies and severe sicknesses can be attended to by the very specialists in the sector. Thus, let MHWUN consider light essential services in order not inflict more pain on the already battered citizenry.

MHWUN and NLC, we support your struggles, which are our struggles; but we support such with a torchlight of humanity.
