President Bola Tinubu has announced that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in Nigeria from the United States. This development is timely, as the country faces growing insecurity and insurgency challenges.

The security situation in Nigeria has raised global concerns, leading to U.S. involvement. Recently, former President Donald Trump confirmed via Truth Social that the U.S. carried out strikes in North-West Nigeria, resulting in the death of several terrorists. The Nigerian government later confirmed this collaboration, emphasizing ongoing security cooperation with the U.S. to address terrorism.

During a meeting with the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by Archbishop Daniel Okoh, Tinubu reiterated the government’s commitment to enhancing national security. He noted that the order for the helicopters is underway but acknowledged that delays could influence public perception regarding the administration’s dedication to tackling security issues.

The President also discussed the impending establishment of community and state police, contingent upon legislative action by the National Assembly. He emphasized the importance of this development while acknowledging the challenges posed by the current security landscape.

Tinubu reassured Nigerians of his government’s relentless efforts to restore peace and prosperity, despite the guerrilla tactics employed by bandits and insurgents.
