President Bola Tinubu called on Nigerians to intensify prayers for the military and security agencies making sacrifices to safeguard the nation, particularly those combating terrorism and banditry.

Speaking after Eid-el-Kabir prayers in Lagos, he emphasized the importance of compassion, unity, and selflessness during this sacred season. He urged citizens to remember the vulnerable and support their neighbors, stating, “We must also pray fervently for our troops who are keeping us safe.”

The Chief Imam of Lagos, Sheikh Suleiman Abu-Nola, echoed similar sentiments in his sermon, urging worshippers to emulate Prophet Abraham’s spirit of sacrifice. He stressed the need for unity among ethnic groups to achieve a better Nigeria, emphasizing that service should be rendered to Allah, not man.

President Tinubu was joined by various dignitaries at the Eid ground, including ministers and business leaders.
