The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has taken action by sealing the national headquarters of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja due to unpaid ground rent. This measure is part of a larger enforcement initiative aimed at addressing property owners in the FCT who have failed to meet their financial responsibilities.

FCTA officials indicated that the decision to close the PDP headquarters came after several warnings and notices were issued regarding the outstanding rent. They stressed that this closure aligns with the provisions of the Land Use Act.

The revocation of the party’s rights and privileges concerning the property has raised concerns among its members about the potential impact on their operations. The FCTA reiterated its commitment to enforcing land use regulations and urged property owners to clear their outstanding debts promptly.
