The Borno Elders Forum Dean, Prof. Khalifa Dikwa, has stated that the majority of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appointments are either imbalanced or weak.
According to Dikwa, the northern elite is unhappy with Tinubu , because of his lopsided appointments and because all of his action’s has had an extremely negative impact on the north.
Dikwa stated this while commenting on the 0.5 per cent cybersecurity levy on electronic transactions recently introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
According to professor Dikwa. The majority of his appointees are either weak, misfits, or have been appointed to the wrong positions, which is a problem .
“Anything ICT, finance, works were lopsided. It must not be northern elites alone, even people from the South-South and the South-East should be appointed. Nigeria is more than Lagos State.”
The professor argued that the Tinubu administration was being remote-controlled by institutions such as International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank.
Dikwa said, “Everything that will keep impoverishing the poor Nigerians will keep on coming. They are interested in bringing Nigeria into crisis and lawlessness.
He accused the Tinubu administration of provoking Nigerians by introducing harsh policies. He urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to withdraw the policy.
