Tinubu Set to Attend Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in UAE

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to leave Abuja on Saturday, January 11, to attend the 2025 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This was disclosed in a statement by Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga on Friday. The event, hosted by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, will run from January 12 to 18 and is aimed at advancing sustainable development and fostering global collaboration.

Titled “The Nexus of Next: Supercharging Sustainable Progress,” the summit will bring together leaders from government, business, and civil society to explore innovative strategies for creating a more sustainable and prosperous world. Over its 15-year history, ADSW has become a key platform for forging international partnerships and accelerating clean energy initiatives.According to the statement, President Tinubu will use the opportunity to highlight Nigeria’s ongoing reforms in energy, transportation, public health, and economic development.

He is also expected to engage in discussions with UAE leaders on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing mutual concerns. Accompanying the President will be Foreign Affairs Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar and other senior officials. President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria on Thursday, January 16.
