Okpebholo Urges New Governing Councils to Fulfill Their Duties

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has called on the newly inaugurated governing councils for Persons with Disabilities, Edo University, Iyamho, and the Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission to perform their roles effectively and efficiently. The governor made this statement during the inauguration held at the Festival Hall in Government House, Benin City.

Okpebholo emphasized the significant responsibilities of these councils and encouraged them to adhere to the laws governing the state as they work towards its development. He expressed confidence in the selections made for these bodies, stating that they were chosen to collaborate with his administration in advancing Edo State.

Addressing the Governing Council of the Edo State Commission for Persons with Disabilities, led by chairman Theophilus Egbodion, the governor assured that his administration would foster inclusivity and support. He stated, “There is no discrimination in this administration. We are all one working to achieve our common goal.”

For the governing council of Edo University, Iyamho, led by Prof. Olusegun Akinyinka, Okpebholo indicated that the members’ expertise would contribute to the university’s growth and success. He expressed optimism that the institution would reach new heights under their leadership.

In response, the chairmen of the Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission, Ezehi Igbas, Egbodion, and Akinyinka thanked the governor for their appointments and pledged to support his administration’s efforts.
