Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Senator for Kogi Central, has publicly accused the Senate leadership of denying her several privileges. In a recent interview on the Brekete Family radio and television program in Abuja, she expressed her frustrations regarding her treatment within the Senate.
The tensions escalated during a plenary session when Akpoti-Uduaghan refused to accept a reassigned seat. This resistance led to a heated exchange with Senate President Godswill Akpabio, highlighting the ongoing conflict between the two.
Akpoti-Uduaghan disclosed that since a controversial nightclub incident last year, she has been excluded from numerous international engagements, including a notable United Nations event. She emphasized that all her recent activities have been self-sponsored due to these restrictions.
“I just wanted to be given the chance to work. A lot of my privileges have been denied,” she stated, detailing her struggles and the impact on her legislative duties
