The All Progressives Congress’s (APC) Katsina State central working committee has ordered the immediate dissolution of its state and local government stakeholders committee.
The statement was issued by committee secretary Suleiman Muhammad Namadi in a letter to the chairmen of the 34 local government councils that were affected.
According to the statement, the decision was reached during the central working committee monthly meeting held on March 26, 2024, at the state secretariat in Katsina, the state capital.
The APC however assured party members that a new structure of the party will be established soon, adhering to the provisions of article 12 (10) and (15) of the APC constitution of 2022 (amended).
In the letter, the party also expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing stakeholders for their important roles in the party’s success during its eight years in power.
