As Governor Monday Okpebholo marks 100 days in office, the Coalition for Good Governance and Economic Justice in Africa organized a well-attended colloquium to assess and highlight his administration’s early achievements. The event, themed “Tracking the Achievements of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s First 100 Days in Office,” brought together stakeholders, political analysts, and media professionals to discuss the impact of Governor Okpebholo’s policies.

Mr. John Mayaki, Country Director of the Coalition, praised Governor Okpebholo’s vision and inclusive leadership, stating that he has exceeded expectations. “What his predecessors couldn’t achieve in 8 years, Sen. Monday has accomplished within 100 days,” he said.

Mr. Emmanuel Cupi Iriogbe, publisher of Penpusher online news, expressed his surprise at Governor Okpebholo’s achievements, stating that he has proven his doubters wrong. “I am now a strong advocate of Gov. Okpebholo; he should be supported to succeed,” he said.

Dr. Sylvester Omose, publisher of Governance Today Nigeria, encouraged Governor Okpebholo to remain focused on serving the people and to shun sycophants. He also advised the governor to collaborate with technocrats who prioritize the people’s interests.

The colloquium was held under the chairmanship of Professor Abiodun Adeniyi, who was unavoidably absent. Notable personalities present included Hon. Oscar Aghedo, APC Chairman in Owan West, Edo State, and an aspirant for the Federal House of Representatives; Mr. Frederick Apeji of Alford Conferences Limited; and event anchor man Mr. Felix Ayewa who did excellently well by not allowing any dull moment during the evet.

The event featured the launch of a special magazine documenting Governor Okpebholo’s achievements during his first 100 days in office. Governor Okpebholo’s administration has reportedly kicked off the repairs of the dead trap of Ekpoma- Auchi road, the reconstruction of 100 schools in Edo State. He has also approved the promotion of 8,476 primary and junior secondary school teachers across the state’s 18 local government areas and so many people oriented projects across the state within his 100 days in office.
