Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, expressed confidence that Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji will have an easy path to victory in the upcoming governorship election on June 20, 2026. This statement was made during the inauguration of the Ikere–Igbara Odo Road and a farm dormitory, marking Oyebanji’s third anniversary in office.
During a recent inspection tour of ongoing projects, Okpebholo praised Oyebanji’s achievements over the past three years, highlighting the significant support he enjoys from the people of Ekiti. He remarked, “You don’t need to campaign much… to win the coming governorship election.”
Oyebanji noted the importance of the newly inaugurated projects for Ekiti’s economic future, stating that they would enhance food production and address security concerns along the road.
Key points include Okpebholo’s commendation of Oyebanji’s performance and the positive feedback from the Ekiti populace, as well as Oyebanji’s emphasis on the strategic value of the projects for the state’s economy.
