February 6, 2025 – The Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has adjourned proceedings until Monday, February 10, allowing Governor Monday Okphebholo to begin his case. This decision follows the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) failure to present witnesses as scheduled.
INEC’s lead counsel, Kanu Agabi, SAN, informed the tribunal, led by Justice Wilfred Okpochi, that they would not be calling any witnesses after reconsidering their approach at the end of Wednesday’s session.
More details will follow.
