Edo Governor Okpebholo Reshuffles Cabinet

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has made minor adjustments to his cabinet to improve governance and efficiency. A statement from the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, revealed that the reshuffle involves three key appointments.

  • Vincent Osas Uwadiae has been reassigned from the Ministry of Oil and Gas Resources to the Ministry of Lands and Housing as Commissioner.
  • Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, who previously served as Commissioner for Lands and Housing, is now the Chief of Staff to the Governor.
  • Gani Audu, the former Chief of Staff, has been nominated as Commissioner for Oil and Gas Resources, pending confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.

These changes take effect immediately as of January 30, 2026. Governor Okpebholo expressed confidence that these adjustments will enhance coordination, policy implementation, and overall governance in the state.
