The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Prof. Nentawe Yiltwada, the current Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, as the new National Chairman of the party. This appointment comes following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje on June 27.
The nomination was made by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, and was seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas. Yiltwada’s appointment was confirmed during an ongoing NEC meeting at the Presidential Villa.
This leadership change marks a significant shift in the party’s hierarchy as it prepares for upcoming political challenges.
