Troops from Operation Hadin Kai successfully repelled a drone-coordinated attack by Boko Haram in the Timbuktu Triangle area of Borno State. Following intelligence-led operations, the military recovered various items, including terrorist flags and significant weapons, while also destroying multiple terrorist camps.

The operation, which took place on January 18, highlighted the collaboration between ground forces and air support, enhancing the effectiveness of surveillance and tracking movements of insurgents. Despite facing drone attacks, the troops pressed on and maintained their offensive, underscoring their determination and high morale.

The IGP expressed confidence in continuing operations to combat terrorism and restore security in Northeast Nigeria. The military maintains that, while the situation remains calm, vigilance is necessary to ensure lasting peace. Operations will persist as they aim to eliminate these threats and protect civilians in the region.
