The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence in reclaiming Oyo State in the 2027 elections, citing a growing affinity among the people for the party. Senator Teslim Folarin, former Senate Leader and Oyo State Ambassador for the Renewed Hope initiative, made this declaration during a recent event in Ibadan.
Folarin highlighted the unity within the party, asserting that APC is now well-positioned to take over the state government and secure President Bola Tinubu’s re-election. He noted the significant turnout at the grand finale of the 14-Federal-Constituency Tour, which he interpreted as a sign of increasing public interest in the APC and Tinubu’s administration.
The Secretary of the APC Renewed Hope team, Mr. Afeez Bolaji, confirmed that all factions within the party had come together, prioritizing collective goals over individual ambitions. Senator Sharafadeen Alli also emphasized the positive reception from constituents, indicating readiness for an APC-led government.
Additionally, Mrs. Omolara Busari, Special Assistant to the Minister of State for Agriculture, called for greater participation of women in politics, suggesting that they could bring significant change to governance.
With a concerted effort from party members and the mobilization of women for the upcoming elections, the APC is optimistic about their prospects in Oyo State.”
