The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as lacking credibility and political substance. In a statement, APC spokesman Mr. Seye Oladejo described the ADC, which has been adopted by some opposition figures for the upcoming 2027 elections, as a “stillborn political experiment.”

Oladejo criticized the ADC for its perceived lack of structure and grassroots support, labeling it a “political contraption without substance.” He asserted that the ADC’s attempts to reposition itself are merely recycled rhetoric from politicians lacking vision and real electoral significance.

He emphasized that the ADC has failed to establish a meaningful role in Nigeria’s political landscape and has become a refuge for disgruntled politicians avoiding genuine public engagement. Oladejo argued that the ADC’s efforts to present itself as an alternative platform are desperate and lacking public appeal.

As Nigeria undergoes essential reforms, he called for political actors to rise above mere criticism and contribute constructively. Instead, he claimed, the ADC offers a “confused chorus” driven by envy rather than direction.

Oladejo reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to governance and national reforms under President Bola Tinubu, urging citizens to reject coalitions based on ambition rather than substance. He concluded that the future lies in tested leadership and clear policies, which he contends the ADC fails to provide.
