There was heightened tension in Abuja as armed police operatives sealed off the National Headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at Wadata Plaza, Garki.

In the early hours of the day, security personnel, deployed in multiple patrol vans, restricted movement in and out of the premises. Staff members, journalists, and party supporters arriving for routine activities were turned back by officers who stated they were acting on “orders from above.”

This development comes amid a widening leadership tussle within the opposition party, with rival factions claiming control over the National Working Committee (NWC).
