The Kano State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Alhaji Adamu A Kibiya, has welcomed over 100 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Tarai in Kibiya Local Government Area to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP). This information was shared in a statement by Balarabe Kiru, the Director of Public Enlightenment in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.

The defectors, led by APC woman leader Hajiya Sabuwa Tarai, cited the development projects and programs executed by Governor Yusuf’s administration as the main reason for their decision to join NNPP. Tarai expressed their admiration for the numerous projects completed at both local and state levels.

The commissioner assured the new members of equal treatment and encouraged them to contribute to the party’s progress.
