Military sources reported that the explosion took place around 2:14 p.m. beneath a pedestrian bridge near the cantonment’s checkpoint. The suspect had exited a Volkswagen Golf vehicle and attempted to approach the checkpoint when military police became suspicious and halted him for identification.
