During a recent Ministerial Press Briefing in Abuja, Minister of Works David Umahi directed sharp criticism at the Labour Party and its supporters, primarily followers of Peter Obi, the party’s 2023 presidential candidate.
Umahi expressed his desire to avoid being associated with what he termed “disobedient” members of the Labour Party. “I don’t want to be disobedient or be a member of the Labour Party,” he stated while acknowledging the contributions of his colleagues in the Ministry of Works.
He also praised President Bola Tinubu for initiating the long-awaited Sokoto-Badagry road project, originally envisioned by former President Shehu Shagari 47 years ago. Umahi highlighted the significance of this project, noting, “Only a man with great courage could engage in such a venture.”
The former Governor of Ebonyi State commended Tinubu’s leadership since taking office in May 2023, reinforcing his support for the current administration’s efforts in infrastructure development.
