Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has suspended the Executive Secretary of the Edo State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Caulson Osoikhia Oahimire, over alleged serious financial and official misconduct.
According to a statement released on Tuesday in Benin by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, the governor directed the immediate suspension pending an investigation. A special committee is expected to probe the allegations, and the most senior officer in the agency will assume leadership in an acting capacity during this period.
This decisive move comes amid a broader effort by the Okpebholo administration to enforce accountability and restore confidence in state institutions, particularly within the health sector.
