In a show of solidarity, eight out of the nine members of the Osun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus in the House of Representatives have reaffirmed their loyalty to the party and Governor Ademola Adeleke. This affirmation comes in response to recent claims by Hon. Oluwole Oke, who resigned from the PDP and suggested that others might follow suit.
The lawmakers described Oke’s departure as a long-expected move, highlighting his history of disloyalty and disrespect towards the party and its leadership. They urged him to cease making misleading statements aimed at garnering sympathy from his new political associates.
“The defection of our colleague is a personal decision that does not affect the stability of the PDP in Osun. The remaining members are committed to the party’s ideals and leadership,” they stated.
The caucus commended Governor Adeleke for his equitable leadership, which they believe has fostered unity and progress across Osun State. They pointed to visible achievements in sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure, affirming that Adeleke’s governance inspires confidence within the party and the community.
