Members of the Ganduje Ward in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State have suspended Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Haruna Gwanjo, the Executive Council of Ganduje Ward’s leader, declared this on Monday at a news conference in Kano.

According to Gwanjo, the former governor needs to dispel any accusations of wrongdoing related to his ongoing dollar lawsuit.

On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, Ganduje will be arraigned by the Kano High Court on accusations pertaining to alleged bribery, diversion, and mismanagement of money, including the alleged acceptance of bribes totaling N1.38 billion and $413,000.

Haruna Dederi, the Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General of Kano State, had previously stated that Ganduje and his spouse would be charged together.

The Kano State Government led by Governor Abba Yusuf, which initiated the criminal suit against the eight respondents, had declared its readiness to present 15 witnesses to testify before Justice Usman Na’aba of State High Court.
