Dr. Yrunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, has called on supporters in Akwa Ibom State to organize and direct their efforts toward the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the platform for success in the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued during ongoing mobilization activities in Uyo, Tanko stressed the importance of preventing a repeat of alleged irregularities from the 2023 elections, warning that votes must be accurately counted or those responsible “will be counted.” He encouraged Obidients—supporters of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi—to channel their passion into coordinated action.
“My dear brothers and sisters of the Obidient Movement in Akwa Ibom State, I bring you warm greetings and unwavering hope,” Tanko said. “From the creeks to the cities, from village squares to university campuses, from markets to professional circles—the time has come to rise in your numbers. The time has come to move from passion to structure, from structure to strategy, and from strategy to victory.”
