MC Oluomo, the President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, along with other prominent youth leaders, is set to unveil a new socio-political organization called Team Nigeria Project (TNP) to support President Bola Tinubu in the lead-up to the 2027 general election. This initiative aims to enhance citizen participation in governance across Nigeria.
The announcement was made by the Director General of TNP, Mr. Olamilekan Taiwo Pedro, during a press conference in Lagos. He emphasized that the organization is committed to mobilizing support for Tinubu’s re-election, highlighting the significant economic and infrastructural advancements the country has experienced under his administration since 2023. Pedro noted that these improvements include the stabilization of the Naira, the operationalization of local refineries, and enhanced support for small and medium enterprises due to better infrastructure, particularly in power and roads.
Pedro also pointed out that the government’s investments in agriculture have led to food security, reducing reliance on imports. He expressed confidence that a government that has achieved so much deserves to be rewarded with re-election. TNP plans to establish several directorates to engage a broad base of supporters, including women and youth, to rally behind Tinubu’s campaign.
